School Workshops & Events - Virtual & In Person
Thinking of inviting a real-life author into your school?
Top notch idea! Enabling children to meet a real person behind the book, is both exciting and inspiring. It can encourage them on a life-long love of books, it can start the cogwheels turning, it can lead to… “I can do that!”
AND…
…due to the wonders of modern technology I can meet your school, safely.
My Author Visits are interactive and inspiring, with lively storytelling and storybuilding. My aim is to provide children with a love of story whilst exploring the many adventures which can be found in books - just like Mabel, the protagonist of I Don’t Like Books. Never. Ever. The End.
“Thank you so much Emma for a brilliantly interactive and inspiring session today! The children and staff LOVED your visit and we now have lots of children keen to read and write stories!” Leighfield Primary School (Virtual Visit)
I’m a teacher with over ten years’ experience. I absolutely adore sharing the love of stories with little readers.
My Author Visits are as follows…
Tailored to EYFS, Key Stage 1, Year 3/4.
A typical session will be 45mins. (30mins for EYFS.)
Works for homeschooling and class based arrangements.
Includes a follow-up activity to take their storybuilding even further.
Do contact your local bookshop to provide books for sale, I am happy to sign & personalise bookplates which I can send directly to your chosen bookshop.
Can be virtual or in-person. You decide!
We’ll have bundles of storytelling fun!
“EYFS and KS1 children were treated to a visit from the fabulous picture book author Emma Perry today. Amazingly interactive even though it was virtual! The children had so much fun! If you’re considering a virtual author visit - go for it, they work really, really well!”
Mrs Darlington, EYFS teacher (Virtual Visit)
Every school is unique, do get in touch to discuss your requirements. Looking forward to meeting you all, for storytelling shenanigans!
